Built by developers,
for developers

Bapla Digital is a software company focused on developer tools and security. We build the tools we wish had existed when we were passing secrets in Slack.

Our story

Like most developer tools, Bapla Secrets was born out of frustration. We were tired of seeing passwords shared in plain text over chat, API keys committed to git repositories by mistake, and credentials emailed back and forth without any thought for security.

Existing solutions were either too complex, too expensive, or simply not open source enough to be trusted with sensitive data. So we built our own.

Bapla Secrets is designed around a simple principle: the server should never be able to read your secrets. Not because we promise to keep them safe, but because we architecturally cannot access them. The decryption key lives in the URL fragment — it never reaches our servers.

We are a small, focused team. We care deeply about the quality and security of what we ship. Every line of code is open source and auditable.

Our mission

"Make sensitive data sharing as safe and easy as possible."

Security should not require a PhD. We believe the right defaults and thoughtful design can make the secure path also the easy path.

What we believe in

Privacy by design

Security is not an afterthought. Every architectural decision — from client-side encryption to zero-knowledge storage — starts with privacy as the foundation.

Open source first

We believe security tools should be auditable. Bapla Secrets is MIT-licensed and fully open source. You should never have to trust us blindly — read the code.

Developer experience

Security tools that are painful to use get bypassed. We obsess over making Bapla Secrets fast, intuitive, and API-first so developers reach for it naturally.

Security as a feature

End-to-end encryption, self-destructing links, and zero-knowledge architecture are not premium add-ons — they are the default for every secret, every time.

The team

We are a small, focused team of engineers and product thinkers based in Europe. We keep the team small on purpose — it keeps us fast, accountable, and close to the product.

Open source

Bapla Secrets is fully open source under the MIT license. The source code is hosted on GitLab. We welcome contributions, bug reports, and security disclosures.
